Moving to another country changes far more than an address. Language, work, status, friendships and the familiar rhythm of the day all have to be built again, often while others expect you to live and work as before. Whether you chose the move or circumstances chose it for you, it touches something deep: the sense of where you belong. Together we look at what the move has stirred up in you and where you can find support - in the new place and in yourself.
Sessions are in English, Ukrainian or Russian. Speaking about a move in your own language often matters: some feelings are hard to put into words in a language you learned as an adult.
In Adlerian psychology, the sense of belonging is one of the most basic human needs. From early childhood we look for our place among other people, and a move abroad touches exactly this need. The familiar supports suddenly fall away: family nearby, friends, language, professional recognition.
In the sessions we look at what the move means for you personally. What did you lose, what did you bring with you, and which old beliefs about yourself have come to the surface? A move often revives patterns that have been there for a long time, for example the feeling that you must not be a burden to anyone, or that you have to prove your worth again from the very beginning.
We also look at the present: where you already have a footing, what connects you with the people around you, and what you need in order to feel at home in your own life again. The new country does not have to replace the one you left.
I offer a confidential space where you can sort out what is happening inside you - honestly, at your own pace, in the language that is closest to you.
My sessions are consultations. They are not medical or psychotherapeutic treatment.
